I went to Ag extension office in Gilmer. They had some helpful handouts. I have picked out the spot. Dad has a tiller I am going to borrow to turn up the soil. I plan to use some horse manure and add some nutrient rich soil. I am going to need a high fence with all of the deer. I will start with vegetables and see how things go….wish me luck!!!

Sometimes it is the simple things that are the most difficult. A trip to the grocery store can take over an hour to get to and from town. It is a 30 min walk up to the cabin and i wasnt about to carry all those groceries. The car won’t make it up the farm road so the tractor is the next best thing!!! Look at this city girl now!!!!

I had my first ride on our tractor! It is great….who would have thought a city girl could have so much fun. Looking forward to a garden this spring and learning to can!!
